People Don't Think

People don't think.

Why? There are a few reasons that jump to mind. First is that it isn't as fun as things like watching the game, or other forms of self stimulation. Second, is that it is hard (I am not still talking about self stimulation). Third it is often waste of time - in that nothing practical comes from it. Fourth it is often expected to be a waste of time.

What is the result of all this lack of thinking? Well, aside from all the annoying negatives, it is why I became a millionaire while in my 20’s. So I am personally grateful that so many people fail to think.

What else has it led to?

Well that is what this Blog is about. We learned long ago that the world was not flat, and we wonder, “How could those stupid people have been such stupid people”. Well, my friend, welcome to the club. There are dozens of “World is Flat-isms” that YOU (and I) believe in (Yes I am not a “holier than thou” type telling you how dumb you are. I am an “as holy as thou” type telling you how dumb we are – Well maybe a “slightly holier than thou” type ;) ).

But I want to unbecome being one of those dumb people. And I think there are others (you maybe) who want to stop being ignorant to (ha ha). Maybe we can help each other.

There are so many problems / opportunities that humanity’s lack of thinking has created that one could either cry for decades at the needless suffering that has been endured, or jump for joy at the chance to make things better and make billions of dollars in the process (one of the good things about the world is that, usually, those who improve peoples lives are rewarded, and with so much stupidity out there, there is an inconceivable amount of money to be made by those who stop baaing (figure it out).

I am currently writing a book called THE EMERGENCY FUND AND OTHER FINANCIAL FAIRY TALES. In which I expose Wall St mavens and nearly every financial advisor in the US (on earth really) as proponents of what amounts to the theory that the world is flat, financially speaking. This book, when published, will show that the advice you are getting from you financial advisors, if you follow it, is almost certainly costing you over 1 million dollars over you life time. I may give away Chapter 1 on this Blog, but that remains to be seen as the publishers will have a say in that.
Anyway this is an invitation to think with me. I can't stand talking about the weather or the “game” (despite being a rabid Red Sox fan), or what I did, or you did on vacation. I need substance, and there is so much cool stuff to talk about why would you waste your time on social B.S. Lets have some fun and simultaneously help improve the world and improve our level of financial freedom.
